Sunflower Cosmos

Field Performance of the "Kosmos" Sunflower Hybrid

Developed by the V. Ya. Yuriev Plant Production Institute, the "Kosmos" sunflower hybrid is engineered for producers who value consistency and efficient farm management. For a field operator, this hybrid represents a predictable crop that doesn't demand constant corrective measures during the early vegetative stage.

Resilience and Operational Efficiency

The primary advantage of "Kosmos" in daily field operations is its inherent resistance to wireworms. This significantly reduces the need for heavy insecticide treatments during seed preparation, directly lowering your input costs. With a field free from primary soil-borne pest issues, seedling emergence is uniform, which optimizes plant density and eliminates the headache of replanting. Furthermore, its resistance to the Colorado potato beetle keeps the crop healthy with minimal spraying intervention.

• Predictable Germination: High energy ensures uniform stands, meaning less downtime for planters and no need for corrective measures.
• Agronomic Versatility: Adapted to Ukrainian soil and climate conditions, making it easier to integrate into existing fertilization programs.
• Cost Management: Lower dependency on aggressive insecticide protocols directly improves the bottom line per hectare.

Choosing "Kosmos" means investing in a hybrid that works for you by minimizing biological stress. By reducing the complexity of the crop protection strategy, you gain better control over your time and operational budget, ensuring that your machinery and inputs are used exactly where they are needed most.
