Codiflorum CL

Codiflorum CL — a high-yielding early-maturing sunflower hybrid developed by the Turkish brand MAY Seed. This hybrid is intended for oilseed production and is characterized by high oil content in the seeds — from 48 to 52%, with a high level of oleic acid (around 93%). Plants reach an average height of 145–165 cm, have a vegetative period of 92–94 days, are not prone to lodging, and the seeds do not shed, ensuring stable yields and ease of harvest.

Codiflorum CL exhibits high resistance to a wide range of diseases, including alternaria, septoria, rust, fomopsis, as well as blossom and stem rots. The hybrid has dual resistance to bird damage due to the presence of relevant genes, significantly reducing yield losses. It is also tolerant to herbicides of the CLEARFIELD® system, allowing effective weed and parasite control using imidazolinone herbicides.

The hybrid is adapted to various climatic conditions, tolerates drought, high temperatures, and temperature fluctuations. It is not very sensitive to soil type and remains stable under different agronomic conditions, making it suitable for cultivation in the forest-steppe and steppe zones of Ukraine, as well as in other regions with similar conditions. The recommended seeding rate varies depending on soil moisture and ranges from 50 to 60 thousand seeds per hectare. Codiflorum CL is suitable for both intensive and extensive cultivation technologies, demonstrating high yield potential and quality of oilseed raw material.
