Sunflower Duet CL is a high-yielding, early-maturing hybrid developed by the Turkish agricultural brand MAY Seed. It belongs to the early maturity group with a vegetative period of 91-94 days and plant height ranging from 145 to 165 cm. The hybrid features medium-sized heads with strong convexity and downward tilt, which promotes efficient yield formation. Duet CL seeds contain a high oil content — from 47 to 52%, with oleic acid content reaching 93%, making it especially valuable for oil production.
Duet CL is resistant to lodging and exhibits high tolerance to imidazolinone herbicides used in the Clearfield system, ensuring reliable protection against weeds and pests. Additionally, the hybrid shows resistance to major sunflower diseases such as alternaria, septoria, rust, and false powdery mildew (race PL 6). These characteristics make it a reliable choice for cultivation in the forest-steppe and steppe zones of Ukraine, as well as in dry regions with significant temperature fluctuations.
The Duet CL hybrid demonstrates high adaptability to various soil types and stress factors, ensuring stable yields of approximately 35 centners/ha in Ukrainian farms. Plants are not prone to seed shattering or lodging, facilitating harvest and improving the quality of harvested raw material. The recommended sowing rate is 58-62 thousand seeds per hectare. Duet CL is a modern solution for farmers aiming to achieve high-quality sunflower yields with minimal risks.
