DUET SL is a high-yielding early-maturing sunflower hybrid developed by the Turkish agro-production brand MAY Seed. It belongs to the early maturity group and is intended for oilseed use. The hybrid is characterized by medium plant height ranging from 145 to 165 cm and a vegetative period lasting about 91-94 days. Seeds contain a high oil content — from 47 to 52%, with high oleic acid content reaching 93%. Plants are not prone to lodging, and the seed head does not shatter, which helps preserve the yield and improve its quality. A feature of DUET SL is its high resistance to stress factors, including drought, high temperatures, and temperature fluctuations. The hybrid has increased adaptability to various soil types and consistently shows high results in forest-steppe and steppe zones. Moreover, it is resistant to most common sunflower diseases, such as alternaria, septoria, rust, and downy mildew (race PL 6). This makes it a reliable choice for farmers seeking a stable and high-quality harvest. DUET SL is grown using the CLEARFIELD® system, which provides effective protection against weeds and pests due to the hybrid's resistance to imidazoline herbicides. This technology increases yield and product quality, confirmed by an average yield level of 35 centners per hectare in Ukrainian farms. The hybrid is suitable for intensive cultivation technologies and is recommended for reproduction in Ukraine's agroclimatic conditions.
