BOGATYR'

Sunflower hybrid of the variety Bogatyr' is a mid-season hybrid with a vegetation period of 95-100 days and plant height of 165-170 cm. This variety is distinguished by high adaptability to various natural-climatic conditions, including drought, due to its rapid and vigorous growth start and deep root system. Bogatyr' is resistant to downy mildew and rust, ensuring stable yields and reducing the risk of losses during cultivation.

The Bogatyr' variety is characterized by high yield, with average yields in the Central Chernozem region reaching 30-31.6 c/ha, and maximum yields up to 46.3 c/ha. Seed oil content varies from 46% to 49%, making this sunflower suitable for both confectionery industry and oil production. The 1000-seed mass for confectionery purposes reaches 152-154 grams, and the fat content in the seeds is about 47.7%, ensuring a high oil yield — up to 14.8 c/ha.

Bogatyr' has excellent taste qualities and is a good honey plant, further enhancing its value for farmers. It is recommended for cultivation in the Central Chernozem region, Volga region, and Southern Federal District. Sowing rates depend on cultivation purposes: for confectionery purposes — 20-22 thousand seeds per hectare, for oil purposes — 42-45 thousand seeds per hectare. The variety was registered in 2022 and is rightfully considered one of the best confectionery sunflowers due to its combination of high yield, disease resistance, and seed quality.
