Description Balkan
Sunflower variety "Balkan" is an annual plant widely used in agriculture and ornamental gardening. This variety is highly adaptable and suitable for cultivation in various climatic conditions, including the Odessa region, where it is successfully grown by companies Agroleader LTD and Balkans. Sunflower seeds "Balkan" provide a good yield and can be used to obtain microgreens, prized for their beneficial properties.

Microgreens of sunflower are rich in B vitamins, vitamin C, carotene, rutin, and trace elements, making them a valuable product for strengthening health. They have a general strengthening effect, improve digestion, help normalize sleep, and reduce blood pressure. Sunflower sprouts help maintain the body's acid-base balance, strengthen the nervous system, improve skin and vision condition, and slow down aging processes. Moreover, microgreens stimulate appetite, making them beneficial to include in the diet.

For growing sunflower "Balkan", it is recommended to sow seeds in mid-May directly into the soil, placing 2-3 seeds per hole at a depth of 2-2.5 cm, with spacing between holes of 25-50 cm. Germination occurs within 10-14 days. When grown in pots, seeds are sown in mid-April, leaving one strong seedling after germination. Plants develop well at a temperature around +21 degrees. Seeds are supplied in 20 g packets, sufficient for sowing an area of about 10 sq. m, making them convenient for use both at home and on small plots.
