Sunflower hybrid AMPER is a medium-maturing, two-row hybrid recommended for cultivation in the Central Volga and Lower Volga regions, particularly in the Saratov region. The vegetation period ranges from 90 to 132 days depending on conditions, and plant height varies between 160-180 cm. Plants are characterized by the absence of branching, green leaf coloration, and yellow disc-shaped flowers. Seeds have strongly expressed marginal stripes and weakly expressed stripes between the edges, with a 1000-seed mass ranging from 63.1 to 65.7 grams. The hybrid exhibits high resistance to the herbicide Granstar (tribenuron-methyl), facilitating weed control. It has moderate resistance to white mold and false powdery mildew, but may be susceptible to downy mildew and rust in field conditions. The hybrid's productivity potential reaches 45-48 centners per hectare, with an average yield in the Central Volga region of approximately 20.4 centners per hectare. Oil content in the seeds is 45-52%, enabling oil extraction of up to 7.7 centners per hectare. AMPER is suitable for intensive cultivation with a seeding rate up to 55,000 plants per hectare. Its average flowering period and moderate height make it convenient for agronomic practices. High oil content and herbicide resistance make this sunflower a profitable choice for producers aiming to achieve high-quality, high-yielding crops.
