Sunflower Amigo

Optimizing Yields: Amigo Sunflower Hybrid by Global Sids

In modern agriculture, the choice of planting material is the cornerstone of economic profitability. The «Amigo» sunflower hybrid, introduced by «Ooo Global Sids», addresses the needs of farmers seeking a balance between high oil content and robust environmental resilience.

This hybrid is well-regarded for its adaptability to varying climatic conditions, with a vegetation period ranging from 90 to 110 days. The plants reach a height of 170–200 cm, making them ideal for modern mechanical harvesting equipment. The large, semi-convex heads provide optimal space for seed development, ensuring high-quality yields even under demanding field conditions.

Agronomic Strengths and Disease Resistance

The breeding team at «Global Sids» focused significantly on phytosanitary resistance. «Amigo» offers a comprehensive defense profile against common pathogens that threaten yield stability:

• White, Grey, and Stem rot;
• Common smut;
• Phomopsis.

This genetic resistance significantly reduces the need for frequent fungicide applications, helping to lower production costs per ton of grain. The seeds are black, medium-sized, and possess a high oil content, typically ranging between 45% and 50%. This makes the crop highly attractive for industrial oil extraction processors.

Choosing the «Amigo» hybrid is an investment in proven genetics. For agricultural enterprises looking for a predictable and productive crop, the combination of stress tolerance, disease resistance, and high oil accumulation makes this hybrid a standout product from «Ooo Global Sids».
