Sugar beet Jura

Stability of Ukrainian Breeding in Field Conditions

Sugar beet variety "Dzhura," developed by the Institute of Bioenergy Crops and Sugar Beet of the NAAS, represents a reliable solution for producers looking for a balance between yield potential and cost-efficiency. Unlike intensive imported hybrids that require ideal growing conditions, "Dzhura" demonstrates excellent plasticity and adaptation to the specific soil and climate conditions of Ukraine.

Agronomic Profile and Efficiency

The standout feature of this variety is its round root shape and medium size. This morphology ensures optimal soil penetration, which simplifies mechanized harvesting and significantly reduces physical damage during the operation of beet harvesters. The variety is geared towards farms that prioritize consistent yields in regions with moderate moisture levels.

• Benefits: High tolerance to spring temperature fluctuations, good storage stability, and predictable root system development.
• Key Strengths: Strong potential for sugar accumulation and a balanced response to standard fertilization programs, making it less demanding than high-input alternatives.
• Best For: Small to medium-scale agricultural enterprises seeking to reduce reliance on expensive imported seeds without compromising the quality of the sugar raw material.

"Dzhura" is an ideal choice for farmers who value predictable results and wish to utilize domestic genetic material specifically adapted to local soil types. It is a robust, low-maintenance variety that provides security in fluctuating agricultural markets.
