The hybrid sunflower SML 28 is a mid-early variety with a vegetation period of about 105-112 days, ensuring timely maturation and high productivity. It is distinguished by high drought resistance, making it especially valuable for cultivation in various climatic conditions, including steppes and forest-steppe regions. Plants reach a height of about 170-190 cm, which promotes good growth and formation of yield.
SML 28 exhibits high resistance to various races of downy mildew (downy mildew), significantly reducing the risk of yield loss and ensuring stable production. The seeds of this hybrid have high oil content, reaching 49-55%, making it profitable for the oil industry. Additionally, the seeds are treated with fungicides and insecticides, providing protection against diseases and pests in early growth stages.
The hybrid is recommended for cultivation in various regions of Ukraine, including steppes, forest-steppe, and polonies. The recommended planting density varies depending on growing conditions: 35-40 thousand plants per hectare in dry conditions and 45-50 thousand in more favorable conditions. The "Clean Field" technology helps effectively protect against weeds, simplifies crop care, and increases overall yield, which can reach up to 5 tons per hectare.
