Sunflower SML 28

Technical Specifications and Performance of SML 28

The SML 28 sunflower hybrid, developed by Ooo Kfh Germes, represents a strategic solution for producers focusing on mid-season maturity and high oil content. Its biological profile is engineered to optimize resource allocation during the 100–110 day vegetation window.

Morphology and Physiological Advantages

The plant exhibits a structural height of 170–190 cm. This specific height is critical for root system stability and efficient nutrient transport to the head. During the critical phases of development, this architecture supports robust photosynthesis, which is a prerequisite for achieving maximum seed filling.

Oil Content and Market Value

The primary commercial attribute of SML 28 is its oil yield, ranging from 45% to 55%. This high concentration is a result of selective breeding aimed at producing thinner husks and denser kernels. For agricultural enterprises, this translates to a superior product quality that commands a premium at processing facilities.

• Growth Efficiency: The 100–110 day cycle allows for flexible planning, reducing risks associated with late-season weather variability.
• Harvest Uniformity: Consistent plant height ensures optimal header adjustment, leading to cleaner harvesting and lower field losses.
• Resilience: The hybrid shows stable physiological responses to environmental fluctuations, ensuring consistent grain weight even in varying moisture conditions.

SML 28 is a reliable choice for farmers looking for a high-performing hybrid that balances yield potential with high oil content and standardized harvest characteristics.
