Description SR 25 F
Sugar beet SR 25 F is a high-yielding hybrid developed by the breeding company SESVANDERHAVE. This variety is distinguished by its high yield and good sugar content, making it in demand among farmers. Thanks to its adaptability to various climatic conditions, SR 25 F is successfully cultivated in the temperate zone, ensuring a stable and quality harvest. SESVANDERHAVE breeding is renowned for stability and high seed quality, which guarantees the reliability and effectiveness of using this hybrid in agriculture.

Sugar beet is an important sugar-bearing crop, containing 18 to 20% sugar in modern varieties. In addition to sugar production, beet is used as a fodder crop. In 100 kg of sugar beet roots, there are 25 feed units and 1.2 kg of digestible protein, and the same amount of tops provides 20 feed units and 2.2 kg of digestible protein. This makes beet a valuable source of nutrients for livestock farming.

A byproduct of sugar beet processing is beet pulp, which is widely used in feeding cattle. Pulp contains 6–7.5% dry matter, including 0.2–0.4% sugar, and is also rich in fiber, vitamins, and minerals. There are several types of pulp – fresh unpressed, fresh pressed, acidic, canned, and dried, each of which has its own characteristics in terms of nutrient content and shelf life. The high content of pectins in pulp improves the digestibility of organic matter, which increases its fodder value, despite limitations on shelf life and hygroscopicity.
