Sugar beet Rodnik

Reliable Yields Under High Phytosanitary Pressure

The "Rodnik" sugar beet variety from СоюзСемСвекла (SoyuzSemSvekla) is a solution for farms regularly facing a complex of foliar infections and soil-borne pathogens. In intensive farming systems where crop rotation is limited and the risk of pathogen accumulation in the soil increases, this variety demonstrates high adaptability.

Field Phytopathological Resistance

The primary practical value of "Rodnik" lies in its comprehensive immunity. The variety effectively resists economically significant diseases such as cercospora leaf spot and ramularia leaf spot, allowing for a reduction in the number of fungicide applications during critical vegetation periods. Resistance to root rots and powdery mildew significantly reduces storage losses and ensures the preservation of marketable quality until processing.

Harvesting Efficiency

The narrow-conical shape of the root crop is its key advantage during mechanized harvesting. This configuration allows for:

• Optimization of sugar beet harvester performance due to easy extraction from the soil.
• Minimization of root damage, which reduces the development of rot during subsequent piling.
• High-quality cleaning from soil impurities, which is essential for raw material purity grading at sugar factories.

The variety consistently responds to high agricultural standards, yet its genetic resistance allows for maintaining acceptable yields even with moderate fertilization. This makes it an excellent choice for farms aiming to reduce production costs by saving on plant protection products without compromising total output.
