Description
Ramgran is a hybrid sugar beet variety intended for cultivation in various regions of Russia, including the Volga-Vyatka, North Caucasian, and Central Volga. The plant is characterized by medium height and a narrowly conical root shape, with a mass ranging from 472 to 807.8 grams. This variety is distinguished by its resistance to pitiosis root rot and pests such as rootworm, which promotes stable and high yields.
Ramgran's sugar content is at the level of 17.4–21.8%, ensuring a high sugar yield—up to 114.6 centners per hectare. Root yield reaches 542.5–774 centners per hectare depending on the region and growing conditions. Such indicators make this variety attractive for industrial sugar production as well as for use as fodder.
In addition, sugar beet Ramgran is valued as a fodder crop. 100 kg of roots contain a significant amount of fodder units and digestible protein, making it useful for livestock farming. When growing, it should be taken into account that the appearance of the plants may differ slightly from the samples in the photographs, which is normal and does not affect the quality of the planting material.
