LG50449 SX

The hybrid sunflower LG50449 SX is a mid-early variety specially developed for cultivation in dry and steppe areas of Ukraine, as well as in forest-steppe and meadow regions. It features high initial growth energy and stable high yield, reaching 5.6-6.0 tons per hectare. The average head diameter ranges from 15.8 to 20 cm, and the thousand-seed weight is approximately 75 grams. This hybrid belongs to the linoleic type and has stable oil content at the level of 50-51%.

LG50449 SX exhibits high resistance to major sunflower diseases such as downy mildew, phomopsis, phomosis, and root sclerotinia, as well as tolerance to races of Sclerotinia A-G. Special attention has been paid to its plastic drought resistance, making it a reliable choice for regions with insufficient moisture. Plant height averages 162 cm, which contributes to good development and formation of yield.

The recommended planting density depends on soil moisture level: under insufficient moisture, the seeding rate is 45-50 thousand plants per hectare, while under sufficient moisture, it reaches up to 54-55 thousand plants per hectare. For cultivation of this hybrid, classical or deep soil preparation is recommended. The hybrid LG50449 SX is suitable for planting both in bags and in containers, ensuring convenience and flexibility in agronomic practices.
