Description BTS 670
Beet sugar variety BTS 670 is a modern single-seed triploid F1 hybrid based on a sterile N-type foundation. This medium-maturing variety is characterized by high yield and good juice quality, making it popular among agricultural producers. BTS 670 is included in the State Register for the Central Chernozem and North Caucasus regions, confirming its adaptability to various soil-climatic conditions.

The hybrid exhibits moderate resistance to major sugar beet diseases, including cercosporosis, aphanomyces, fusarium, and powdery mildew. This ensures stable yields and reduces the risk of losses during cultivation. In the Central Chernozem region, the average root yield is 421 centners per hectare with 18.2% sugar content, providing a sugar harvest of 74 centners per hectare. In the North Caucasus region, yield and sugar content are even higher — 466.3 centners of roots and 17.2% sugar, yielding 84.3 centners of sugar per hectare.

Sugar beet BTS 670 is suitable for cultivation under various climatic conditions and soil types, making it a versatile choice for agronomic purposes. The optimal balance of yield and sugar content allows efficient use of this variety for sugar production, ensuring high economic returns. The breeders of this variety are Yuri Fedorovich Kravtsov, Valentina Dmitrievna Drobosotskova, and Natalia Vladimirovna Kulikova.
