Description Slavyanka
Beetroot Slavjanka is a late-ripening table variety that differs in high productivity and resistance to diseases such as cercosporosis and bolting. The root has a smooth cylindrical shape, dark burgundy color, length of 10-15 cm and weight of 250-300 g. The beet pulp is tender, juicy, without rings, with a sweet and balanced taste that makes it versatile for various culinary purposes.

This variety of beetroot is widely used in the preparation of salads, borscht, juices, and for canning. Due to its excellent keeping quality and evenness of root vegetables, Slavjanka is suitable both for fresh consumption and for long-term storage at a temperature of 1 to 7 °C, which allows it to maintain its quality for a week. Beetroot contains 9.6 g of carbohydrates, 1.6 g of proteins, and only 0.2 g of fats per 100 g of product, providing 43 kcal.

For successful cultivation, sowing in the ground is recommended at the end of April – beginning of May with a depth of 2.0-2.5 cm and a scheme of 6х30 cm. With proper care, the yield reaches 6.0-7.0 kg per square meter. Beetroot Slavjanka is valued by gardeners for its taste qualities, commercial properties, and resistance, which makes it one of the popular choices among table varieties.
