VARYAG — a late-maturing, high-yielding spinach variety, distinguished by its dark green, large oval leaves with a pleasant taste. The leaf rosette is elevated and compact; the leaves are medium-pustulate with medium-length petioles, with a single plant mass of 42-50 grams. This variety withstands high temperatures well, possesses cold hardiness and resistance to bolting and downy mildew, making it universal for cultivation from early spring to autumn.
Spinach VARYAG is suitable for fresh consumption and is widely used in cooking — it is boiled and served as a side dish with meat and fish, added to egg dishes. Moreover, the variety is excellent for freezing, which allows to preserve its beneficial properties for a long time. The harvest is collected from May to September, starting from the moment of formation of 5-6 large leaves, as overgrown spinach becomes coarse and unsuitable for food.
For successful cultivation, it is recommended to sow seeds in moistened prepared soil at a depth of 1.5-2 cm with an interval of 10-15 cm. Seedlings appear in 7-14 days. To ensure a continuous harvest, sowings should be repeated every 2-3 weeks. During cultivation, it is important to regularly water, weed, and loosen the soil, as well as apply fertilizer 2-3 times per season. The period from germination to cutting is 50-55 days, which allows planning the harvest collection over a long period.
