Spinach Cheetah

Yield stability under any conditions

The Cheetah spinach hybrid from the Dutch breeding company Rijk Zwaan is a solution for growers who prioritize production efficiency and predictable outcomes. In the context of modern intensive vegetable farming, where pathogen pressure can devastate a field in a week, this hybrid offers a reliable shield against downy mildew. This significantly reduces the need for fungicide applications, allowing for a cleaner and more sustainable crop.

Agronomic Strengths

The key feature of Cheetah lies in the balance between growth rate and leaf quality. Unlike early-maturing yet fragile varieties, this hybrid exhibits high adaptability to temperature fluctuations, making it an optimal choice for both spring and autumn cropping cycles.

• Visual Appeal: The deep, vibrant green color of the leaves ensures maximum shelf appeal in retail settings. The leaf retains its structure during transportation, which is crucial for the fresh produce market.
• Disease Resistance: High genetic resistance to downy mildew races removes the primary concern for agronomists: the risk of losing crop marketability due to this persistent disease.
• Efficiency: The plant forms a rosette structure ideal for mechanical harvesting, significantly cutting down labor costs.

Cheetah is tailored for professional growers in the fresh greens segment. It is forgiving of minor agronomic inconsistencies, yet it unlocks its full potential when strict water and nutrient management are maintained. Choosing Rijk Zwaan genetics is an investment in reducing post-harvest waste. If your goal is a consistent, high-output spinach production line with minimized risks, Cheetah is the essential foundation for your planting schedule.
