Spinach AMAZON

Consistent Yields Without Surprises

When working with the “Amazon” hybrid from Pop Vriend Seeds-NL, you immediately notice its predictability. For an agronomist who values time and wants to minimize production risks, this spinach becomes a reliable professional tool. The main benefit of this Dutch hybrid is the certainty that your crops won’t succumb to disease at the most critical stage of development.

Genetically Engineered Protection

The most frustrating aspect of spinach cultivation is sudden outbreaks of downy mildew (peronospora), which can destroy the marketability of the leaves in just a few days. With “Amazon,” this issue is addressed at the seed level. Pop Vriend Seeds-NL breeding ensures a high level of resistance to downy mildew. In practice, this translates into significant savings on fungicides: you stick to your spray schedule without the need for emergency interventions due to disease pressure.

Quality and Marketability

The leaves of the “Amazon” variety feature a deep, vibrant green color that persists even after extended transport. This is critical for the fresh produce market: consumers want to see juicy, healthy leaves, not yellowing foliage. The plant structure is well-suited for mechanical harvesting with minimal loss, which simplifies on-farm logistics and effectively lowers the unit cost of production.

• Stress Tolerance: The hybrid handles temperature fluctuations well, making it ideal for spring and autumn growing cycles.
• Efficiency: Leaf shape and rosette height are optimized for standard spinach harvesting machinery.
• Economics: High germination rates and uniform emergence minimize costs associated with reseeding or thinning.

If you are looking for a variety that requires minimal maintenance while consistently delivering a high-quality product, “Amazon” is one of the top choices in the professional vegetable sector.
