The soybean variety "Winnie" is a medium-maturing grain variety recommended for cultivation in the forest-steppe and steppe zones of Ukraine. It is distinguished by high adaptability to various soil-climatic conditions, ensuring a stable yield. Plant height varies from 75 to 95 cm, and the weight of 1000 seeds ranges from 135.8 to 190 g, indicating the variety's large-seeded nature. Flower color is purple, and a light-colored hilum is a characteristic feature of this variety.
"Winnie" has a high yield potential, reaching 30-50 ц/ha depending on growing conditions. Protein content in the seeds ranges from 38.5% to 42%, and oil content is approximately 20%, making it valuable for both food and technical applications. The variety is resistant to lodging and cracking, which helps maintain yield quality under adverse weather conditions.
A distinctive feature of the variety is the presence of two genes conferring resistance to phytophthora and high field tolerance to diseases, providing reliable plant protection. "Winnie" tolerates stressful conditions and drought well and is characterized by strong attachment of lower pods due to the elongated lower internode. The recommended seeding rate is 550-650 thousand seeds per hectare, with row spacing from 12.5 to 30 cm, optimizing conditions for plant growth and development.
