Soybean Horizon

Stability and Field Performance

The 'Horizon' soybean variety, developed by the V. Ya. Yuriev Plant Production Institute, is designed for farmers who prioritize yield predictability in intensive cropping systems. With a vegetation period of 100–110 days, this mid-early maturing variety is an excellent fit for crop rotation across most of Ukraine's climatic zones.

Key Advantages for Production

• Pod Attachment Height (12–14 cm): This feature is critical for efficient mechanical harvesting. By minimizing header losses, 'Horizon' ensures that the harvested yield is maximized, reducing the need for complex combine adjustments.
• Biochemical Profile: Consistent protein content (35–37%) and oil content (22–23%) make the grain highly competitive for both processing facilities and specialized feed production.
• Adaptability: The variety exhibits strong resistance to lodging and shattering, providing flexibility in harvest scheduling, even under the unpredictable weather conditions often seen in late summer.

Practical Application: 'Horizon' performs best when managed with optimal plant density, promoting rapid row canopy closure which helps suppress weeds. This operational advantage effectively lowers mid-season herbicide application costs. It is an ideal choice for operations focused on high-quality output that meets the rigorous standards of modern deep-processing industries.
