Description Valentia
Soybean variety Valentia is a high-quality seed material of medium-early maturity, intended for cultivation both as feed and for food purposes. The plant exhibits high plasticity and resistance to lodging, shattering, and drought conditions, ensuring stable yields. Plant height ranges from 80 to 100 cm, with 8-10 purple flowers per inflorescence, and pods and stems have intense reddish hairs. Seeds are oval-shaped with a yellow non-pigmented coat, resistant to cracking, which contributes to maintaining quality during storage and transportation. One of the key advantages of the Valentia variety is its resistance to the herbicide Roundup, enabling effective weed control from the emergence of the first seedlings until the beginning of flowering. This reduces the need for frequent chemical treatments, simplifying and lowering the cost of cultivation. Moreover, the variety demonstrates high resistance to a range of diseases and pests, including fusarium, downy mildew, septoria, and especially phytophthora, further enhancing the reliability and quality of the crop. Soybean Valentia has a high content of nutrients: the 1000-seed mass ranges from 140-160 g, crude protein content reaches 40-41%, and fat content is 21-22%. The recommended seeding rate is 700-750 thousand seeds per hectare, with an optimal density of 550-600 thousand plants per hectare at harvest time and row spacing of 38-45 cm. The vegetative period lasts 90-95 days, corresponding to 2500 thermal units (CPU). Due to its characteristics, this soybean variety is a valuable component in compound animal, poultry, and fish feed, contributing to increased profitability of animal husbandry and improved feed quality.
