Soybean Svyatogor

Svyatohor Soybeans: A Reliable Solution from Ukrainian Breeders

In the highly competitive market of medium-late maturing soybean varieties, the "Svyatohor" variety stands out as a robust choice for farmers in the southern and central regions of Ukraine. Developed by the Institute of Irrigated Agriculture of NAAS, this variety was specifically engineered to thrive in climates subject to severe temperature fluctuations and moisture scarcity.

Biological Profile and Growth Habits

"Svyatohor" is distinguished by its impressive vegetative vigor. Depending on the soil fertility and moisture availability, the plant reaches a height of 120 to 150 cm. This architectural strength allows the plant to develop a substantial canopy, essential for maximizing photosynthetic activity and heat stress tolerance. The variety is particularly well-suited for high-input farming systems where maximizing yield potential is the primary objective.

Seed Quality and Market Value

The variety provides an excellent balance between yield quantity and grain quality, making it a stable asset for producers. Laboratory analysis consistently shows the following composition:

• Protein content: 39–41%
• Oil content: 20–21%

These values satisfy the strict quality requirements of modern processing facilities, ensuring high liquidity on the commodity market. For growers, this predictability is key to planning production economics and managing market risks effectively.

Application and Market Positioning

The variety is best suited for intensive agricultural practices. Due to its genetic lineage, it excels in irrigated farming conditions, where it displays its full yield capacity. For farmers looking for a tried-and-tested Ukrainian variety that avoids the high costs associated with international seed licensing, "Svyatohor" provides a reliable and profitable alternative.
