Sunflower Machete

Reliable Yields with Clearfield Technology

The «Machete» sunflower hybrid, developed by «Науково-виробниче під», is designed for professional farmers who prioritize high technological efficiency and effective weed control. Its primary competitive advantage lies in its compatibility with the «EURO-LIGHTNING» herbicide system, which ensures clean fields even in areas with high weed pressure and orobanche infestation.

Key Agronomic Features

With a vegetation period of 110–120 days, this medium-maturing hybrid provides stable performance across various agro-climatic zones. The plant reaches a height of 150–160 cm, ensuring uniform growth and facilitating easier mechanical harvesting.

• Pathogen Resistance: Robust genetic resistance to Alternaria, Phomopsis, Phoma, rust, and downy mildew significantly reduces the need for expensive fungicide programs.
• High Oil Content: An oil content of 45–50% makes this hybrid a high-value commercial product.
• Disease Management: Strong resistance to white and grey rot makes it an ideal choice for humid regions prone to fungal infections.

«Machete» is built for growers who need a predictable, manageable crop. By integrating herbicide-tolerant traits, it allows for a cleaner cultivation process without sacrificing the potential of the medium-sized head. This hybrid is best suited for intensive agricultural systems where time-to-harvest and crop health are paramount.
