SOOMIRA

The SOOMIRA soybean variety is an early-maturing hybrid with a vegetative period ranging from 95 to 108 days, allowing for a quick harvest. The plant is indeterminate type, low to medium in height, with purple flowers and yellow seeds. The mass of 1000 seeds is approximately 136 grams, indicating large grain size. The hypocotyl is colored in anthocyanin, and the pubescence of the main stem varies from gray to reddish-brown. The side leaflets of the compound leaf have a triangular or pointed-ovate shape, and the seed hilum can be yellow or dark brown.

SOOMIRA soybean is distinguished by its high protein content in seeds — from 30.8% to 32.1%, as well as a significant level of fat — from 19% to 24.28%, making it attractive for the food and feed industries. Yield varies depending on the region and growing conditions, reaching average figures from 10 to 11.7 centners per hectare and maximum values up to 32.3 centners per hectare. The highest yields were recorded in various regions of Russia, including the Volga-Vyatskaya, Central, Central-Black Earth, and Western Siberian regions.
