Sunflower LG 5445 is an early-maturing hybrid developed by Limagrain using Clearfield® Plus technology. This hybrid is characterized by high adaptability to various soil-climate conditions, including the Polissia, Forest-Steppe, and Steppe zones. It tolerates late sowing well and achieves maximum yield potential when intensive soil treatment technologies are applied. In 2021, the hybrid demonstrated high yields across various regions of Ukraine, reaching from 39 to 46 c/ha. LG 5445 exhibits high resistance to a wide range of diseases, including phomopsis, sooty mold, dry rot, phomosis, sclerotinia, and false powdery mildew. The hybrid is also genetically resistant to aggressive races of downy mildew (A-G) and tolerant to herbicides of the imidazolinone group, ensuring effective crop protection and reduced yield losses. Additionally, it is resistant to lodging and drought, making it a reliable choice for regions with variable weather conditions. Sunflower LG 5445 features high initial growth energy and high oil content in seeds (49-50%), enhancing its economic attractiveness. Early maturation allows timely field clearance and preparation for winter wheat sowing. Thanks to its qualities and versatility, this hybrid is an optimal solution for farmers aiming to achieve stable and high sunflower yields with high oil output.
