GREENFI is a mid-maturing soybean (Glycine max (L.) Merr.) variety with a vegetative period of about 125 days. The plants are of an indeterminate growth type of medium height, reaching approximately 82 cm. Leaves are oval-shaped with green coloration and medium size, flowers are purple, and pods are dark brown. Seeds are spheroid-flattened, yellow in color with a brown hilum, with a 1000-seed weight varying from 143.6 to 185.1 grams.
The variety is characterized by high content of nutrients: protein in seeds ranges from 33.7% to 36%, and fats from 23.6% to 24%. Yield reaches an average of 18 c/ha, with maximum values up to 34.5 c/ha, which is 1.1 c/ha above the regional average standard. GREENFI is distinguished by resistance to lodging and drought, making it a reliable choice for cultivation on chernozem soils.
The variety is recommended for cultivation in regions with suitable climatic conditions, in particular in the Stavropol Krai. It is capable of symbiosis with nitrogen-fixing bacteria, which contributes to improved nitrogen nutrition of plants and increased yield. Thanks to its agronomic characteristics and high-quality seed composition, GREENFI is a promising variety for producing soy with high protein and fat content.
