LUCIA

LUCIA is an early-maturing soybean (Glycine max (L.) Merr.) variety with a growing season of approximately 103 days. The plant is indeterminate, of medium height, and features distinctive characteristics: a hypocotyl with anthocyanin pigmentation, reddish-brown stem pubescence, and purple flowers. Seeds are yellow with a yellow hilum; the mass of 1000 seeds is 125 g. Protein content in seeds reaches 36.5%, and oil content is 23.3%. Average yield in the region is 17.2 c/ha, while a maximum yield of 26.5 c/ha was recorded in the Republic of Mordovia.

The variety exhibits high genetic resistance to a complex of diseases, including sclerotinia of roots, stems, leaves, and inflorescences, as well as phomopsis, powdery mildew, gray mold, phoma, and gray mold. Additionally, LUCIA demonstrates excellent resistance to lodging and stem breakage, which aids in crop retention and facilitates harvesting.
