Sunflower LG5537HO

Stable Performance Under Stress

When working with the LG5537HO hybrid from Limagrain, agronomists consistently note its reliability. This sunflower is a solid workhorse for farms that rely on the Clearfield (Euro-Lightning) production system. French breeding is evident here: the hybrid shows excellent germination and an energetic start, which is critical for setting up a strong harvest.

Field Performance and Protection

The vegetation period of 110-120 days allows for easier harvest planning, and the moderate plant height (140-150 cm) makes the crops highly resistant to lodging. Special attention should be paid to the phytosanitary status. LG5537HO acts as a shield against soil-borne pathogens. In regions with high infection pressure, this hybrid minimizes losses from phomopsis and phoma.

Operational Features

• Protection Technology: The use of Euro-Lightning allows for efficient control of weeds and broomrape in a single pass, while the hybrid itself handles the treatment without any signs of growth suppression.
• Durability: The root system is deep and powerful, helping the plant access soil moisture during dry spells.
• Harvest Efficiency: The optimal plant height minimizes the biomass passing through the combine, which reduces mechanical stress on the header and the threshing system.

If you are looking for a predictable hybrid that can withstand major fungal diseases and supports the standard Clearfield system, LG5537HO is a choice that rarely disappoints by the end of the season.
