Soybean variety Antares was included in the state register since 2011 and belongs to the medium-maturing group with a vegetation period of 120-130 days. Plants have an indeterminate growth type, which ensures prolonged development and yield formation. Seedlings are characterized by anthocyanin pigmentation of the hypocotyl, and the plant form is semi-erect with gray pubescence. The main stem height reaches 90-110 cm, flowers have a purple tint, and pods are sandy-colored, sickle-shaped, medium in length and width. Seeds of variety Antares are round, yellow, with a 1000-seed mass of 130 to 180 grams. The hilum is linear, light-brown with a light hilum. The seeds contain a high protein content — 37-39%, as well as fats in the amount of 18-20%, which makes this variety especially valuable for oil and protein production. Yield in dry farming conditions is 24-27 ц/га, and with irrigation it increases to 34-36 ц/га. Soybean Antares is widely used in agriculture as a main grain crop. Thanks to its agronomic characteristics and high content of beneficial substances, this variety is suitable for cultivation for obtaining quality raw material for food and industrial processing. Its resistance and productivity make it a profitable choice for farmers aiming for stable and high yields.
