Anniversary 75 is a mid-season sorghum-sudangrass hybrid, characterized by a vegetative period to full grain ripening of 105-110 days. Plants reach a height of 238 to 250 cm, have an upright and compact bush with high bushiness - from 10 to 18 stems per plant. The stems are juicy, which promotes rapid regrowth of forage after mowing. The first cut is made 50-55 days after germination, the second and third - with an interval of 35-40 days, which allows obtaining several harvests of green mass during the season.
The hybrid is distinguished by high resistance to head diseases, relatively resistant to smut and bacterial blight, and also possesses drought resistance and is not prone to lodging. Green mass contains from 12.8 to 13.5% protein, which makes it a valuable fodder plant. Yield of green mass on average reaches 588.5 c/ha, and hay - 160.4 c/ha, which indicates the high productivity of the hybrid.
Sorghum-sudangrass hybrids, to which Anniversary 75 belongs, are widely used in various climatic conditions due to their adaptability and low fertilizer requirements. They are used primarily as a fodder crop, but can also be used in the production of oils and ethanol. High economic efficiency and productivity make this hybrid attractive for cultivation in various regions.
