Sorghum Landscape — a mid-early maturing variety, recommended for cultivation in steppe regions of Ukraine. It was developed by the Institute of Grain Husbandry of the Ukrainian Academy of Agricultural Sciences and registered in Ukraine as a high-yielding grain sorghum variety. The vegetation period of this variety is 90–95 days, allowing for stable yields in regions with limited water availability.
This variety is distinguished by its high stalk strength, large grain mass, and resistance to drought, lodging, and shattering, making it suitable for mechanized harvesting using grain combines. The grain of sorghum Landscape has a dark-red coloration and is characterized by high protein content (13.7%) and starch content (72.5%), ensuring its effective use in the food industry, particularly for the production of grits and other products.
In addition, the Landscape variety exhibits high resistance to many diseases, enhancing its reliability in agricultural production. Thanks to its agronomic characteristics and high-quality grain traits, this variety is an advantageous choice for farmers cultivating grain sorghum in steppe zones.
