Sorghum ZERSTA 38 A

Focus on Grain Yield: The Potential of ZERSTA 38 A

The “ZERSTA 38 A” sorghum variety is a product of long-term breeding efforts by specialists at SKFNAC. In a changing climate, where drought resistance has become a critical factor in profitability, this variety offers farmers a balanced solution for obtaining stable grain yields. Unlike many imported hybrids that demand intensive technology, this variety is adapted to the specific conditions of southern regions, which reduces risks when farming in water-scarce environments.

Key Advantages

• Originator Expertise: Developed by the FGBNU North Caucasus Federal Agricultural Research Center, ensuring genetic purity and relevance to regional agro-climatic conditions.
• Specialization: The variety is bred specifically for grain production, ensuring high test weight and efficient harvest processing.
• Stress Resistance: Its genetic potential allows it to better withstand periods of soil and atmospheric drought, a crucial attribute for steppe zones.

Who is this variety for?

“ZERSTA 38 A” is an optimal choice for farms seeking to replace expensive foreign hybrids without sacrificing yield quality. If your strategy involves the efficient use of arid land with minimal irrigation costs, this variety serves as a reliable tool in your crop rotation. When following the agrotechnical recommendations provided by the originators, the variety demonstrates high crop uniformity and predictable yield performance.

It is important to note: “ZERSTA 38 A” requires attention to sowing dates and proper soil preparation. In conditions of high weed competition during early development stages, timely field management is the key to unlocking the full potential that the center’s scientists have built into this crop.
