PRIPYAT

Soja variety 'Prpyat' is an early-maturing annual plant with a semi-determinate growth type and a stem height ranging from 60 to 70 cm. The plants are characterized by limited branching, brown pubescence on stems, and purple coloring of flowers and hypocotyls. Leaves are oval-shaped, light green, and of medium size. Seeds are elongated, yellow, with a yellow hilum; the mass of 1000 seeds is 150-170 g. The height of attachment of the lower pod varies from 9.4 to 14.9 cm, while the proportion of pods located below 15 cm does not exceed 8%.\n\n\nVariety 'Prpyat' was created through individual selection from hybrid combinations involving Polish, Belarusian, and Dutch lines. It is distinguished by high yield, exceeding the 'Jaselda' variety by 5%, and by 18% under drought conditions, and matures 2-3 days earlier. The sum of active temperatures from germination to maturity is 2150°C. The variety is resistant to lodging and seed shattering, which ensures crop stability. At the same time, it is sensitive to thinning of the sowing, so it is important to strictly adhere to the sowing rate, which is 800-900 thousand seeds per hectare.\n\n\n'Prpyat' is distinguished by a high protein content in seeds — from 31.5% to 43%, and also fat within 20-23.5%. The grain contains a significant proportion of water-soluble protein fraction (87.9%), which makes this variety especially suitable for food processing. Soja is widely used in the production of soybean oil, soy milk, tofu, and other products, as well as in feed production and for the production of biofuels. Due to its qualities and adaptation to moderate climatic conditions, variety 'Prpyat' is successfully cultivated in various regions.
