Description OILY-LEAFED
The Oily-leafed spinach is an early-maturing and cold-hardy plant capable of germinating at temperatures from 4 °C, while seedlings and mature plants can withstand frosts down to 6 °C. The optimal temperature for its growth and development is about 15 °C. Marketing maturity is reached 30-45 days after germination, allowing for a quick harvest. The leaf rosette is moderately compact, semi-erect, with green, juicy, tender, and weakly blistered leaves.

This spinach variety is distinguished by high yield of green mass—3.3-3.5 kg per square meter. It is rich in vitamins, especially vitamin C, as well as minerals and protein, making it a valuable vegetable product, particularly useful for children's nutrition. Due to the high content of biologically active substances, Oily-leafed spinach is considered a healing and nutritious product.

Spinach requires sufficient moisture and responds well to fertilizers and irrigation. At a lack of moisture, the growth of leaf rosettes slows down, leaves become tough, and plants bolt prematurely. The variety is recommended for fresh consumption as well as freezing. It is excellent for preparing salads, side dishes for meat dishes, and omelets, retaining its beneficial properties even after freezing.
