Description BELVILLIS
Belvillis sorrel – a perennial variety with high productivity that can be grown in open ground, greenhouses, and on balconies. The vegetation period is 40–50 days from seedling emergence to leaf maturity, making it an early-maturing variety convenient for multiple sowings throughout the season.

The plant reaches a height of 25–30 cm; leaves are light green, oval or egg-shaped with smooth edges. They are juicy, crisp, and have a pleasant herbaceous aroma, making them ideal for use in soups, salads, canning, and as filling for pies.

Belvillis sorrel grows well on slightly acidic or neutral loamy and loess soils enriched with manure. It prefers ample moisture, moderate sunlight, tolerates slight shading and frost. The variety is resistant to bolting and is weakly affected by powdery mildew, allowing it to be grown in the same place for 3–4 years without significant yield decline.
