Constant is a normal-type sugar beet hybrid with high yield potential and stable sugar content across various cultivation zones. The roots have a conical shape and compact leaf rosettes, facilitating harvest using high-tech equipment. Maximum sugar content is achieved during mid-to-late harvest periods, when the roots begin to mature.
For successful cultivation of the Constant hybrid, planting should be conducted at optimal times on soils with high agrofond or after their mineralization. Crop rotation is recommended; sugar beet should not be grown on the same field more than once every three years, with cover crops or cereal crops planted in between. Plant density at harvest varies from 95,000 to 105,000 plants per hectare, depending on the region.
To ensure stable growth and increase root mass, irrigation or drip irrigation is recommended, which also enhances sugar content in the roots. This complex of agronomic practices enables the production of high yields of quality sugar beet suitable for industrial processing.
