PORUMBEN 340 MV

Porumben 340 MV is a mid-maturing hybrid of sweet corn, belonging to the FAO 340 group. It is characterized by high grain yield, reaching 130-140 ц/га, and resistance to drought, diseases, and stressful conditions. The plant reaches a height of 250-270 cm, has 16-17 leaves on the main stem, and forms conical-cylindrical cobs 23-25 cm long with 14-16 rows of grains. The grain is yellow, dent type, with a 1000-grain weight of 280-320 g. The ear attachment height is about 90 cm, which facilitates harvesting and reduces yield losses.

The hybrid is characterized by high ecological stability and good adaptation to various agricultural conditions, including increased agronomy and irrigation. The recommended planting density varies depending on the growing zone: from 40-55 thousand plants per hectare in steppe areas to 65-70 thousand in forest-steppe and Polissia.
