Rose Raduga

Crimean Breeding for Professional Cut Flower Production

The 'Raduga' rose is a result of advanced selection work by specialists at the NII of Agriculture of Crimea. This cultivar is a classic shrub rose tailored for the specific demands of the floral market. Unlike many modern decorative hybrids, 'Raduga' maintains a commitment to traditional gardening values, prioritizing the consistent quality and structural integrity of each stem.

Technical Specifications and Growth Potential

The shrub form of this rose is characterized by a vigorous habit, with plant heights ranging from 120 to 200 cm. These metrics make the variety suitable for both professional plantation cultivation and large-scale landscaping. Key characteristics defining its value for agricultural producers include:

• Growth type: vigorous shrub.
• Bloom size: 5–7 cm, featuring a classic double flower structure.
• Fragrance: intense and pronounced, signature to the Crimean breeding school.
• Blooming cycle: single, yet exceptionally profuse flowering season.

Market Application

The primary utility of the 'Raduga' variety is its production as a cut flower. Professionals value this variety for its dense petal structure and longevity in vases, making it a sought-after choice in regional floristry. Despite its single-season blooming cycle, 'Raduga' remains a vital component in the product mix for nurseries specializing in high-quality, regionally adapted rose varieties. The significant height of the bush streamlines the harvesting process, reducing labor intensity across large plantations.
