Description LANY
The Lany rose variety is a hybrid obtained by crossing Rosa alba L., Rosa damascena Mill., and Rosa gallica L. This perennial shrub reaches a height of 1.1 to 1.8 meters and is characterized by a low number of thorns—only 2-3 per 10 cm shoot, which facilitates care and flower harvesting. The flowers are large, with a diameter of 6-7 cm, pale pink in color, full, with about 70-80 petals, and have a strong and pleasant aroma. Blooming is once but prolonged, lasting 20-25 days in June-July, ensuring stable raw material collection throughout the season.

The Lany variety is characterized by high resistance to rust and other diseases, as well as good tolerance to rainy weather, making it reliable for cultivation in various climatic conditions. Flowers form both singly and in inflorescences of 1-7 pieces, contributing to high yield—about 39.1 centners of flowers per hectare. The essential oil content in fresh flowers is approximately 0.113-0.118%, allowing for the production of 4.5 to 6.4 kg of essential oil per hectare.

The Lany rose is a valuable technical crop used primarily for the production of essential oil, which is characterized by high fragrance and quality. For flower processing, the hydrodistillation method is recommended, ensuring maximum extraction of essential components. Thanks to its decorative and technological characteristics, the Lany variety is widely used in the perfume and cosmetic industries, as well as in aromatherapy.
