The Landorra rose is a classic representative of hybrid tea roses with a bright, rich yellow color and an elegant flower shape. This variety was bred in 1970 by German breeder Matthiasantau Jr. and quickly gained popularity thanks to its large, double flowers with diameters of 9 to 12 cm, consisting of 30-40 petals with pointed tips. The flowers have a light, pleasant aroma and can be arranged singly or in clusters of up to 7. The plant's leaves are light green, glossy, and leathery, giving the bush a neat and well-groomed appearance.
The Landorra rose bush is characterized by its compactness and sturdiness, reaching heights of 90 to 130 cm and a width of about 60 cm. The stems are straight and strong, covered with large but sparse thorns. The rose demonstrates repeat blooming from late May or early June until October, allowing you to enjoy bright flowers throughout the warm season. The flowers open slowly, maintaining a saturated yellow hue that does not fade in the sun.
This variety has good frost resistance down to -20°C, but requires careful covering for winter. The Landorra rose is resistant to most fungal diseases, except for the possible appearance of black spot. Due to its decorative qualities and durability, it is ideal for single and mass plantings in flower beds and borders, and is also an excellent choice for cut flowers — the flowers maintain freshness and attractiveness in a vase for a long time.
