GF 677.1: The New Standard in Rootstocks from ENOHRAI

In 2025, the State Register of Plant Varieties of Ukraine was updated with a promising new rootstock: GF 677.1. Developed and introduced by STOV «ENOHRAI», this material is designed for professional horticulture, demonstrating high adaptability to various climatic conditions. The variety is officially zoned for all major agricultural regions of Ukraine, including the Steppe, Forest-Steppe, and Polissya, making it a versatile tool for establishing intensive orchards.

Morphological Features and Development

GF 677.1 is characterized by its vigorous growth energy. The plant develops strong, thick one-year-old shoots with long internodes, indicating a high potential for vegetative mass. A distinctive feature is its spreading habit and intense branching by the end of the summer, which allows for efficient crown formation.

• Leaf Apparatus: The leaves are narrow-elliptic, notably long and narrow. Their light green color and moderate glossiness give the plant a healthy appearance.
• Shoot Structure: The presence of pubescence in the upper third of the shoot and the absence of anthocyanin coloration at the tip are key markers for identifying this rootstock in nurseries.
• Biological Markers: Vegetative buds are small and sharp-pointed, which facilitates the grafting process for specialists.

Choosing GF 677.1 is an investment in the longevity and productivity of an orchard. Due to its growth vigor and balanced physiological characteristics, this rootstock provides a reliable foundation for grafted crops, ensuring stable development across the diverse soil and climatic conditions of Ukraine.
