The Vibrant strawberry variety is a super-early cultivar developed at the East Malling Research Station in the United Kingdom. It is characterized by high yield and excellent fruit quality, featuring properly conical-shaped berries with medium to large size, bright red color with distinctive gloss, and superior flavor. The Vibrant variety has a high percentage of first-class fruit, making it attractive for both commercial cultivation and gardening. Medium-sized plants with wide, dark-green leaves, and straight, strong, and long flower stems, each bearing 4 to 5 flowers, which contribute to maintaining large fruit size. The Vibrant variety can be successfully grown using traditional extensive methods or the "60-day harvest" technology, enabling early and stable yields. The plant produces a large number of flower stems over an extended period, ensuring high productivity, typically exceeding 1 kg per plant, and reaching up to 1200 grams under favorable conditions. Additionally, a second harvest of up to 400 grams with high-quality berries can be obtained starting in July. Harvest speed is high due to the excellent visibility of berries on the plant and easy detachment of fruits. The Vibrant variety exhibits moderate growth vigor and moderate resistance to diseases, including powdery mildew and root rot, but is susceptible to verticillium wilt. It is frost-tolerant and low-maintenance, thriving on fertile, light soils with regular watering. Due to its characteristics, the Vibrant variety is suitable for cultivation in open ground, greenhouses, and tunnels, intended for fresh markets and processing, making it a versatile and profitable choice for gardeners and farmers.
