Description FL 09 127
The strawberry (raspberry) variety FL 09 127, known under the brand Sweet Sensation™, is a high-yielding hybrid of Dutch breeding, featuring large, conical berries often resembling a "heart". The berries have a rich red color that develops gradually and remains vibrant even in hot weather and after cooling, along with a glossy surface. The fruit flavor is exceptionally rich and aromatic, with high sugar content (BRIX), making it especially attractive to the market and consumers. The berry size remains large throughout the season, and the fruit density ensures excellent storability and transportability.

The plant forms a compact, well-branched bush with long pedicels, facilitating harvesting. This variety is mid-season maturing and is recommended for cultivation in the middle zone and other regions with moderate climates. It adapts well to various conditions, preferring open fields where it exhibits high heat tolerance and shows better performance compared to cultivation under cover. Early plantings, starting at the end of September, allow for stable high yields throughout the season.

FL 09 127 has moderate resistance to diseases such as anthracnose and Macrophomina root rot, but is susceptible to Phytophthora. The variety also demonstrates high tolerance to fruit rot (anthracnose), but requires preventive measures against gray mold and powdery mildew. Careful monitoring of pests and diseases is essential, particularly in open-field conditions. Due to its qualities and adaptability, FL 09 127 is an excellent choice for both commercial and hobbyist strawberry cultivation.
