Rapeseed THALEL CL

Operating the Talel CL Rapeseed: A Clearfield Advantage

The Talel CL by BASF is a straightforward performer. Working with this hybrid in the field, the most striking feature is its high branching capacity. It doesn't just grow tall; it builds a strong, productive structure that, at a density of 400,000 to 500,000 plants per hectare, effectively maximizes the canopy.

Clearfield System and Field Management

From an operator's perspective, the Clearfield herbicide tolerance is the game-changer. It is not overly finicky, but it certainly rewards timely management.

Key Operational Highlights:

• Yield Potential: Consistently hitting 60–70 dt/ha with proper input management.
• Grain Quality: Oil content remains high, between 45% and 50%.
• Harvestability: Being a simple linear hybrid, the field consistency is excellent, making the harvest process efficient without excess green matter issues.

Talel CL is built for those who prioritize predictability. If you follow the seeding rates and execute the Clearfield treatment on time, the plant performs exactly as expected. It is a reliable workhorse for a winter rape rotation, delivering the high oil content that the market demands while maintaining high yields. For any operator, having a crop that behaves predictably from seeding to harvest is the most valuable asset you can have in the field.
