Gerdie, a winter rapeseed hybrid, is a high-yielding mid-early variety designed for early planting. It features high yield potential, reaching 50-55 centners per hectare, which can be fully realized under favorable growing conditions. Gerdie exhibits slow development after seed germination, eliminating the need for growth regulators in the early stages. The hybrid efficiently utilizes soil moisture reserves and requires only a slight increase in temperature to initiate active spring growth. One of Gerdie's key advantages is its high resistance to adverse environmental factors. It possesses high cold tolerance, drought resistance, and resilience to temperature fluctuations, making it suitable for cultivation in various climatic zones. Additionally, Gerdie has strong stems that do not lodge under the weight of the crop or adverse weather conditions. High resistance to major diseases such as fusarium, black leg, downy mildew, sclerotinia, alternaria, and bacterial diseases, along with resistance to pests, ensures stable and high-quality yields. Gerdie exhibits high economic and biological characteristics: high oil content, low glucosinolate and erucic acid levels, improving product quality. The hybrid matures in approximately 300 days and is suitable for conventional cultivation methods. Recommended sowing rates range from 349,000 to 600,000 seeds per hectare. During seed maturation, it is recommended to harvest immediately upon reaching maturity to avoid over-ripening and yield loss. High resistance to lodging and shattering contributes to yield retention and simplifies harvesting.
