Rapeseed Turbo

Stability as a Strategy: The "Turbo" Winter Rapeseed

In the winter rapeseed segment, German plant breeding by NPZ Lembke focuses on technological performance and yield predictability. The "Turbo" hybrid is a classic example of a breeding approach aimed at farmers who prioritize risk mitigation in volatile climates. The primary value of this hybrid lies in its comprehensive resistance profile: while many competitors require intensive fungicidal protection against stem and leaf infections, "Turbo" demonstrates robust resistance to Phoma.

Defense Against Biological Threats

One of the critical challenges in rapeseed cultivation is the incidence of Alternaria and various types of rot. Investing in "Turbo" seed material is particularly justified for fields with high infection pressure. Genetic resistance to Phoma helps reduce field stress, ensuring stem integrity and proper pod maturation. This leads directly to lower production costs, as the number of required chemical treatments can be optimized without sacrificing crop quality.

Who is "Turbo" Designed For?

• Operations practicing intensive farming technologies aiming for maximum yield.
• Farmers in regions with higher-than-average humidity, where the risk of rot and Alternaria is elevated.
• Those who value German breeding reliability—the originator, NPZ Lembke, is known for stringent quality control of its genetic material.

Although the hybrid’s genetic base is designed for high performance, it is crucial to adhere to optimal sowing windows. This is a tool for professionals who know how to unlock the crop's potential through proper nutrition and early-stage protection. In a fluctuating market, "Turbo" remains a reliable "workhorse" that allows for predictable results starting from the moment of sowing.
