Rapeseed CRAZY CL is a high-yielding hybrid of winter rapeseed of the new generation Clearfield® segment, combining tolerance to imidazolin-based herbicides with high yield comparable to conventional hybrids. Thanks to its vigorous branching and tall stature, as well as oil content of 47%, this hybrid ensures high profitability even when sown late. It is characterized by rapid autumn establishment, promoting uniform germination and the recommended plant density at vegetation restart of 35–45 plants per square meter.
CRAZY CL exhibits high resistance to major diseases such as phomopsis (resistance rating 9), sclerotinia, and lodging. The hybrid possesses genetic resistance to stem base phomopsis (gene RlmS), high winter hardiness, and drought tolerance, making it a reliable choice for various agroclimatic zones of Ukraine, including Steppe, Forest Steppe, and Polissia. Additionally, it shows good response to plant growth regulators, mid-early maturity type, and very high resistance to pod cracking.
For successful cultivation, it is recommended to use Clearfield technology with a seeding rate of 450–500 thousand seeds per hectare. Optimal sowing time is late, which allows full potential of the hybrid to be realized. Thanks to its agronomic traits and adaptability, CRAZY CL is a universal and effective solution for farmers aiming to achieve stable and high-quality winter rapeseed yields.
