Raps Lagoon is a hybrid variety of winter rapeseed, registered in the State Register in 2021. It belongs to type 00, meaning it contains no erucic acid and low glucosinolate content, making its products more premium and in demand. The hybrid has a medium-early maturation period and an intensive growth type, with a vegetation period of approximately 93 days. Plants are taller than average, reaching 101.5 to 112.5 cm, which contributes to good development and yield.
One of the key features of the Lagoon variety is its high resistance to adverse conditions. It demonstrates drought resistance rated at 8–9 points, lodging resistance at 7–8 points, and high resistance to rapeseed flea beetle, bacterial disease, and downy mildew, rated at 9 points. This resistance ensures stable yields even under challenging climatic conditions. The hybrid exhibits early flowering and seed set, which is a key advantage when grown under high temperatures and water deficit.
Lagoon shows high yields across various regions, including the Forest-Steppe and Polesie areas, where yields reach 101.5–112.5 kg/m², and is recommended for cultivation in the West Siberian region, particularly in the Novosibirsk Oblast. Oil content in seeds ranges from 43.6–45.2%, and protein content is 23.4–24%, meeting high quality standards. The hybrid performs well under intensive agrofunds but also demonstrates high plasticity and tolerance to soil types, enabling cultivation across various soil-climate zones.
