Lagonda winter rapeseed seeds are a high-potential sowing material developed by the German company NPZ-Lembke. This hybrid has a medium-early maturity period — 100-110 days, and plant height of approximately 100-110 cm. Lagonda exhibits vigorous growth during early development stages, promoting rapid crop formation. Rapeseed is intended for conventional cultivation and is suitable for all zones, with optimal preceding crops being pea, corn, winter wheat, and winter barley.
One of the key advantages of this variety is its high resistance to lodging, diseases, and pod cracking. The rapeseed demonstrates high resistance to root bacteriosis (8 points), downy mildew (9 points), as well as to shattering and lodging (8 points each). Additionally, the crop shows good cold tolerance (7 points), enduring temperatures down to -5°C, and high drought tolerance, rated at 8 points. These characteristics ensure stable yields and minimize losses under adverse weather conditions.
Lagonda features high yield potential — up to 4 tons per hectare — and high oil content — 44%. The thousand-seed weight is approximately 4 grams, which contributes to uniform technical maturity and high oil content. The recommended sowing rate varies between 650,000 to 800,000 seeds per hectare, depending on sowing timing, which can be either early or late. Seeds are packaged in sowing units of 1.5 million seeds and require storage at +7-10°C and humidity not exceeding 10%. The seed treatment MODESTO PLUS provides additional protection for seeds at sowing.
